Social innovation empowers young people to shape the world around them and provides space for them to develop a sense of active citizenship (Report on the Implementation of the EU Youth Strategy 2017). In addition, since social innovation is based on skills such as empathy, creativity, problem-solving and communication, young social innovators also develop the competences they need to integrate into society and become valuable employees or entrepreneurs.
